Stay healthy without “slim-exaggeration”

Maybe it is little off topic, but I just wanted to share some observation with you. I recently learned that both in normal life and in big business exaggeration can be bad in both ways. And why having a long term goals and different phases of diet is so important.

Few days ago I’ve been filming a fashion show for a big commercial brand. It was a promotional show before they launch a full scale sells in their store

So my guess was that not only clothes will be “wearable” on casual occasions by normal people, but models also will be SOMEHOW like real people…

Well I was 75% wrong (now that’s a lot ;)) Clothes were ok - about half of them that is (I’m not an expert but the other half looked odd… eccentric that is) , but models - besides the fact they walked like a broken robots (and some call this a “catwalk” - when did they see a cat lately?) - they all were EXTREMELY skinny. It was far beyond slim definition. So that’s what designer want us to look like? I’m from the other planet I guess.

I mean it’s very good to be slim (at least I think so and hope that I will be one day) but is this a goal?

I definitely prefer more real women type. Like in Spain were it was decided that models must have body mass index of at least 18. But I guess they didn’t manage to promote the idea too far.

Anyway taking care of ourselves and eating with caution is very good - but if you know what your goal (real goal) is. And when to stop. Our diet is based on South Beach Diet Plan so we assume we will manage to keep changed eating habits for long time (for life hopefully).

That’s why it is so important to remember what’s the purpose of each diet phase.

Take care,
Luke
