Diet recipe: White cheese

List of ingredients:

  • 9 oz of white cheese
  • 2 tbs of low-fat yoghurt
  • 2 tbs of chopped spring onion
  • salt, black pepper

Mix all of the ingredients adding salt and pepper. Serve white cheese with fresh tomato or cucumber. If you eat it for breakfast you’ll be satiated for 2-3 hours :)

What happened last year

Remember us? Sorry for keeping our blog quiet. This what happened last year. We still kept to the second phase of South Beach Diet and July 2008 I’ve achieved my goal – 141lbs. I’ve achieved his in seven month just by keeping to the rules. My husband Luke went down with his weight to 242,50 lbs.

We were so happy about our weight, so we decided do go to the third phase. But we also added some forbidden foods. Till September…

South Beach, a low glycemic index diet

I’ve found South Beach Diet after searching for a low glycemic index (’GI’) diet plan. It was what a doctor told me about, that this type of diet seems to work well. I decided to give it a try.

The glycemic index is a certain number that show how much glucose in blood is produced after a specific type of meal. The glucose itself has GI=100. GI is considered low if less than 55.

List of ingredients:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 carrots (one whole and one cut in stripes)
  • 1 root celery
  • 1 root parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 napa cabbage
  • 5 dried wood ear mushrooms, cooked and cuted in slices
  • 1 tbs of soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp of dry ginger
  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper (hot!)
  • 1 tsp of sesame oil
  • 3 tbs chopped spring onion
  • salt, black pepper
  • 2 dry bey leaves
  • 4 dry allspice fruits

Stay healthy without “slim-exaggeration”

Maybe it is little off topic, but I just wanted to share some observation with you. I recently learned that both in normal life and in big business exaggeration can be bad in both ways. And why having a long term goals and different phases of diet is so important.
