South Beach, a low glycemic index diet

I’ve found South Beach Diet after searching for a low glycemic index (’GI’) diet plan. It was what a doctor told me about, that this type of diet seems to work well. I decided to give it a try.

The glycemic index is a certain number that show how much glucose in blood is produced after a specific type of meal. The glucose itself has GI=100. GI is considered low if less than 55.

List of ingredients:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 carrots (one whole and one cut in stripes)
  • 1 root celery
  • 1 root parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 napa cabbage
  • 5 dried wood ear mushrooms, cooked and cuted in slices
  • 1 tbs of soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp of dry ginger

This is our first post at an “old-new” blog. We encountered a serious problem with server last time, and for sometime the whole blog went down. So we have to do everything form the scratch. But there are two pros:

- this time we will make it all better,

- we don’t have to start losing weight from the beginning.
